Climbing Stok Kangri in Ladakh, India - No guide

Clay and I head out to climb Stok Kangri, the most popular 6000+ m peak in Ladakh. Luckily, our summit days was not too crowded, but the crowds in the camps suggest it can get pretty busy. With Mentok under our belts, we were pretty well acclimatized and knew how our bodies were likely to respond to climbing at altitude. It was not that technical of a climb. This time though, I was developing a cold, and we were both pretty burned out from the last month of trekking. Around the glacier, we were definitely questioning our stamina and whether we'd be able to make it. We were happy we did it without a guide. We definitely needed our guide for Mentok, but doing this on our own made it feel so much more rewarding.
