When looking to buy sailboats you see a lot of them for sale online listed for cheap. That in itself can be a red flag. But we hadn't given up hope yet and went to look at those cheap boats to see if they were worth it. We looked at a Countess 44 listed for $6,000, a young sun 45 that was listed for $15,000, and a Cabo Rico 38 which was listed for $40,000 (completely insane) but he mentioned he could sell it for much less. These boats were for sale in the Virginia area so we checked them out while we were around. We actually drove form Maine to look a the Pearson Countess 44. In hindsight that 13 hour drive was not worth it. We tried to stay positive and make the best of it. We are getting worn out looking at all these boats!
