We can use models to determine if two expressions are equivalent. Algebra tiles are one way to model expressions. We use a rectangle to represent the variable and a square to represent 1. We show how to correctly use algebra tiles to represent an expression. Expressions with the same amount of variable and 1 tiles are equivalent. We review the Distributive Property from 10.3a, to show how expressions are equivalent. This video and its contents are the property of JoAnn's School and is protected under U.S. copyright law.
