Hello my friends, the first part of this presents a collection of beautiful molding tools given to Windy Hill Foundry by Keith Rucker of VintageMachinery.org and includes a furnace he built several years ago as he realized he can't do both Foundry work and machining. I am very grateful for these and will be using these in upcoming videos. Next, I take you to a place I have wanted to see for years in Selma, Alabama. The Depot Museum, a fascinating building that contains remnants of Selma's rich past. Foundry and forge work have existed in this town since the 1850's and the museum contains some beautiful patterns of that era, including a pot belly stove pattern. Once the curator, Beth, understood I was there to see the patterns, she introduced me to a (behind the scenes stash) that was a real eye opener and I am honored to be able to take you with me on this journey.
