The distance from Dhaka to Panam City is 30 km. From Mugapara intersection, you can reach Panam Nagar by auto or CNG.. History: Mughal emperor Ishakha established the capital of Bengal in the 15th century at Sonargaon in Narayanganj.. There were three cities in Sonargaon Baranagar Khasnagar and Panam Nagar.. Among these three cities Panam Nagar was the most famous or developed area.. All the famous businessmen lived in this area.. Panam Nagar is now a lost city..You can see the ticket counter at the entrance of Panam Nagar. The ticket price is 20 taka per person.. You can see the long roads after taking the ticket. There are two canals and five ponds on either side for supply.. Almost every house here is one to three stories high.. Panam Nagar was officially de-occupied in 2009.. Panam Nagar is one of the 100 destroyed historical structures in the world..
