An adaptation of Joe Hill's classic "The Rebel Girl" (1915). Hill dedicated the song to the great labor organizer and socialist, Elizabeth Gurley Flynn, who would later serve as National Chairwoman of the Communist Party, USA. We have retained Hill's original lyrics as much as possible, slightly amending the chorus.
