We are super excited to share with you a garden surprise, a native Iris that blooms early in the spring. It was moved last fall from its original garden because it wasn’t growing well. These plants, once established, will form thick colonies. Dwarf crested iris grow to 3-6 inches tall and range in color from white to blue to lilac. They prefer drier soil under trees and would be a good choice in a rock garden. Refrain from mulching them, as Iris like to have dry feet. I hope you enjoyed our little garden surprise as much as we did! See you next time!
