Elouise is an excellent example of the quintessential cruising monohull, the Hylas 54. Clean, extremely well maintained, with several thoughtful, cruiser-useful upgrades. The first owners used the boat as a weekend sailer on the Great Lakes & stored it in heated storage, with the mast down, each winter. Elouise’s current owners are experienced cruisers who upgraded the boat for cruising. They spend approximately 6 months a year on board and have done over 12 000 miles on the East Coast & in the Bahamas since 2021. All additions and upgrades have been well thought out and manufactured to the highest standards. The luxuriant interior with high gloss varnish, Ultra-suede upholstery (2024) and excellent light through extensive eyebrow windows and hatches make this a fabulous live-aboard. The 3-cabin, 2-head layout has the chart table tucked away on the port side, giving access to the aft head from the salon as well as from the owner’s cabin, a huge advantage when under way.
