Uveal Tract Disorders along with a series of other online Ophthalmology lectures at sqadia.com provides medical students confidence in knowing all about ophthalmology. This V-Learning™ gives you an explanation of uveal tract anatomy at first. Then moves to the discussion of its disorders which include heterochromia of the iris, corectopia, pylocropia, persistent pupillary membrane, and congenital aniridia and coloboma. Likewise, degenerations of the iris along with primary and secondary choroidal degenerations are highlighted. ▬ 📌 Uveal Tract Disorders Anatomically, a layer of tissues located between the cornea, sclera, and Retina of the eye is termed a uveal tract. In other words, we can say that out of the three layers of the eye, the middle layer is a layer of the uveal tract. Any defect in this layer gives rise to uveal tract disorders such as heterochromia of the iris. Types of heterochromia encompass heterochromia iridium and heterochromia iridis. In corectopia, abnormal displacement of the pupil is observed. It can be due to trauma or scarring or can be considered among the Congenital Anomalies. Some other uveal tract disorders which are discussed in detail in this ophthalmology lecture are polycoria, congenital aniridia (iridremia), and persistent pupillary membrane. Furthermore, getting into Ophthalmology, an explanation is also provided about congenital coloboma in which some tissues having a role in the formation of the eye are missing at birth most often. Typical coloboma, complete coloboma, incomplete coloboma, and atypical coloboma are the four types of congenital coloboma that are made understandable for Ophthalmology student doctors. Simple iris atrophy and essential iris atrophy are also subject to discussion. Besides these two conditions, another degeneration of the iris explained to medical students is iridoschisis in which anterior and posterior iris stroma and muscle layers are separated from each other. Some other degenerations are the choroidal degenerations which are classified into primary choroidal degenerations and secondary choroidal degenerations. ▬ 🎬 5500+ sqadia.com Medical Videos ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 👩🏻⚕️ Accessible Medical Student Education 24/7/365 💡 Simplifying Medical Learning 💪 Study Hard, Dream Big, Achieve More
