Welcome to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia! In this video, I dive into my very first day in the capital city, starting off in the lively Bole neighborhood. I kick things off with a proper introduction to Ethiopian hospitality and culture — including my very first cup of what many call the best coffee in the world. It absolutely lives up to the hype. Later, I head to one of Addis Ababa’s most popular spots for traditional food, the famous Kategna Restaurant. Here I finally tried my first ever Ethiopian meal including trying injera and a spread of delicious Ethiopian dishes. Along the way, I share some important tips on how I got my Ethiopian visa, what the process was like, and how to get around the city once you’re here. For sunset, I head up to Entoto Park, one of the best places to visit in Ethiopia. The views from the top were absolutely stunning and offered a peaceful escape from the buzz of the city below.
