First year medical student apartment tour: come along as I show you my medical school apartment and some parts of my apartment complex, with a surprise guest and some adorable dog content!! I show you what the inside of my apartment looks like, along with my room, and other parts of my apartment complex like the gym and the game room. This video doesn't have a ton of product tags in it, because honestly I do my best to save money and my roommates and I share a lot of our kitchen appliances like the toaster, coffee maker, etc., so a lot of the things I have/use are not new. I feel like I see a lot of medical school apartment tour descriptions with so many product tags and no hate to those people at all, but I just can't relate, bc I try to use things for a long time or go to Goodwill, or Plato's Closet or thrift stores! I feel like this is hopefully realistic if you are about to start medical school/are in medical school, because you most likely don't have a lot of money to spend on a ton of new things. With that, obviously I have two roommates - which is something that I chose to do in order to #1 - save money, and #2 - make sure I was interacting with other people, especially classmates of mine. If you're wondering, my rent is ~$710 after all utilities/trash/wifi/water expenses have been added. Info about things in my room/apartment: Our couches are actually from one of my roommates old college houses, so we didn't have to pay for that. She also brought our patio furniture too! Our little coffee table in the living room was $30 at Goodwill. I get my candles from Marshall's for $7-10 each! So cheap and so many options! My desk decorations were gifted by friends/parents over the years I actually found my large standing lamp by the dumpster at my apartment (no hate plz lol, it wasn't even in the dumpster and it was in perfectly good condition, and yes I did wipe it down/clean it!). We also got our kitchen table chairs at the same time that I found my standing lamp, and yes we did clean them!! My coffee maker is a Keurig that my mom got me for my birthday two years ago that still works perfectly well. I got my mattress at Costco Ordered my desk on Amazon for about ~$130 I think Really don't have many wall decorations, other than some previous paintings I made myself or by my friends. I decorate my wall using the 99 cents cards at Trader Joe's. I love them and how my wall looks :) Video creds to my amazing friend, photographer, and videographer: Lane Sager Let me know if you have any questions! Thank you so much for watching. Sending you nothing but the best!! Love, Rachel xoxox
