If you are getting a new Xbox One X or simply want to move your games to a bigger hard drive this video shows you how to move and back up your settings and also how to download the 4k games for the Xbox. In this video I show you how to transfer all your games from your Xbox One (s) to your new Xbox this might be another standard Xbox One or the New Xbox X (Scorpio). I go through in detail on how to format your new hard drive and how to transfer not only the games but also your settings so you are ready to go on your new Xbox by just plugging in the Hard drive from one Xbox to another. ----------------------------------------------- Text from Microsoft regarding what gets backed up from your Xbox when transferring and backing up the settings: Back up your settings. Backing up settings is a great way to simplify subtle on any Xbox - wherever there's a new Xbox or this one (for instance, if you decide to reset it and start over). This saves your account settings and key system settings, which your new Xbox will apply during setup. Backups do not include settings for things that might be different on your new Xbox, such as console name on the ability to control specific TV. Connect our USB storage device to your existing Xbox one, Xbox One S or Xbox One X. Storage must be USB 3.0 or faster and 256 GB or larger. Make sure that is designated for use with Xbox one games and apps. Go to Settings - System - Backup & transfer - Backup my settings and follow the on-screen instructions to save your backup to your storage. Before turning on the Xbox you want to setup, connect that storage to the new console. Start the new Xbox and follow the on-screen instructions. If the new Xbox is already setup and you want to configure it using the backed-up settings from the other Xbox, keep the storage device connected and go to Settings - System - Console info and choose to Reset console. Backups include settings for: Most sign in and security preferences Blue ray and disc Volume Narrator Magnifier Closed captioning High contrast Network name and password System theme My home Xbox Most power mode & start-up settings Xbox at connectivity Most broadcast and capture preferences Xbox notifications and timing Language and location Time zone and daylight saving Updates Games and apps Drive Backup and transfer (keep a back up current) Cortana Backups don't include setting for: Controller sign-in Xbox live privacy App privacy and sign-in info Links social accounts Content restrictions (access to content, web filtering, signed out restrictions) Family accounts Advanced network settings (IP, DNS, MAC address, port selection) Colour and background Theme and motion Console name Backup and transfer (Storage device, 4K content) Network transfer Video and audio output Kinect Accessories app settings App notifications Game clip of resolution and capture location Preferred video provider Activity feed TV a OneGuide Game transcription Hide from ready-to-install list Power settings for external storage Profiles other than the one you're using Games Compatible Hard Drives on Amazon: Maxtor M3 1TB USB 3.0 Slimline Portable Hard Drive £45 - Black - http://amzn.to/2ixQzLb Maxtor M3 2TB USB 3.0 Slimline Portable Hard Drive £65 - Black - http://amzn.to/2lgDCWX Maxtor M3 4TB USB 3.0 Slimline Portable Hard Drive £106 - Black - http://amzn.to/2iwADsD ------------------------------------------------------------------- Please Subscribe to my Channel Here: / @craftydoctor
