Is Abraham’s Sacrifice Story in Genesis 22 directly taken from Greek Tragedy?

The parallels are not vague. They are structural, narrative, and theological: • A deity demands a father sacrifice his beloved child • The child is led in solemn procession • The father equivocates when questioned • The child is placed on the altar • An animal substitute appears at the last moment • The deity promises future victory and glory Kozlowski argues this is not coincidence. It is literary dependence. If correct, Genesis 22 must have been written after 405 BCE, and likely in the late Persian or early Hellenistic period.
