SOUNDBITE: (English) Raza Rabbani, Deputy Secretary General, Pakistan People's Party "I think it would be difficult for me to put it on a time frame for the simple fact that developments in Pakistan's political landscape keep changing and fluctuating and you have seen on the 23rd of March massive arrests. SOUNDBITE: (English) Raza Rabbani, Deputy Secretary General, Pakistan People's Party "There is absolutely no dissension within the rank and file of the Pakistan People's Party. It is completely united under the leadership of Mrs Bhutto. The party has condemned and will continue to condemn all efforts by the regime to try and oust her from the political framework of Pakistan. The party will resist through constitutional means any such attempt. Mrs Bhutto is the undisputed leader of the Pakistan People's Party and she is the only linkage that can keep the federation of Pakistan intact." 9. Ext Crofton Hotel, South Kensington where meeting was held STORYLINE: Benazir Bhutto chaired a meeting of the Pakistan People's Party in London on Tuesday. Forty members of her party flew in from Pakistan to meet their former Prime Minister, who has been living in self-imposed exile in Britain for three years. It was her first meeting with senior members of her party since corruption charges against her were set aside by Pakistan's Supreme Court two weeks ago. Mrs Bhutto has vowed to return to Pakistan to lead her party in person and fight the next general election, which has yet to be declared by the military government led by General Pervez Musharraf. The issue of when she should return was discussed, but the deputy secretary general of her party was reluctant to commit to any date. A date for the retrial on the corruption charges has yet to be declared. Nineteen members of the PPP were prevented from travelling to the London meeting from Pakistan by the military government, and the meeting strongly condemned the action. They threw their full support behind Mrs Bhutto and say there is an air of expectation in Pakistan for her return.
