Ironman Training Week 19 | Easing Back In After Travel Week 19 of my Ironman training was about getting back into rhythm after a work trip — not forcing volume or trying to make up for lost time. After a disrupted Week 18 with travel and long work days, this week was my first real step back into training. I didn’t hit every workout, and that was intentional. The focus was easing back in, listening closely, and rebuilding consistency without rushing the process. In this Week 19 Ironman training vlog, you’ll see: Returning to training after a week of travel Gradually reintroducing sessions instead of forcing volume How I approach consistency when fitness is there but rhythm isn’t Balancing work, recovery, and training momentum Why easing back in matters more than checking every box This week wasn’t about perfection — it was about re-entry. The Bigger Idea Coming back from time off isn’t about proving anything. It’s about: Rebuilding rhythm Protecting momentum Making the next few weeks sustainable This is what realistic endurance training looks like when life interrupts the plan. This video is for: Anyone training for an Ironman or endurance event Athletes returning after travel, illness, or a break People struggling with the “first week back” mentally Anyone playing the long game with fitness Strava: https://strava.app.link/v9n3WUB0vZb Instagram: / josiah_mcintosh 1-on-1 Coaching: https://www.derekgarcia.com/ The Best Electrolytes: https://amzn.to/3L6l0FN My Running Shoes: https://amzn.to/3NupLKd Arena Goggles: https://amzn.to/44FlCZK Week 20 coming next. #IronmanTraining #EnduranceTraining #TriathlonTraining #ConsistencyOverMotivation #BackIntoIt
