Episode 21 of Know Your Ship! In this educational video I cover the Northampton class heavy cruisers. These cruisers were built under the confines of the Washington Naval Treaty. They displaced 9000 long tons (9200 tons) and were equipped with 9X8" guns. These treaty cruisers actively served with the US Navy during World War 2. Of the 6 ships in the class (Northampton, Chester, Louisville, Chicago, Houston and Augusta) 3 of them were sunk during the war. The remaining 3 were decommissioned after the war. These heavy cruisers will be the tier 6 US heavy cruisers in World of Warships. Admirals, get to know these awesome cruisers before taking command of them in World of Warships!
