This is my demo of a comparison between two great compressor pedals by DarkGlass: the Super Symmetry and the Hyper Luminal. It’s definitely NOT because of the pedal: in fact, I connected with it immediately when I received it... Just had to summon the inspiration and the courage, I guess... Well, here goes nothing... The unCompressed signal goes first (first by itself, then with a light overDrive from the Alpha Omega Ultra pedal, then with a heavy fuzz from the Duality pedal)... Then the Super Symmetry comes in and does its thing... Then the Hyper Luminal comes in and does its thingS, which are as follows: SYM: modelled after DarkGlass' own Super Symmetry compressor (in fact, it sounds pretty much the same) FET: modelled after Urei / Universal Audio's classic 1176 compressor BUS: modelled after Solid State Logic's Bus compressor Both awesome, but the more flexible Hyper Luminal has my final vote!!!...
