Now that YouTube is letting me stream longer films I can narrowcast more episodes of my stepfather's TV films for Southern Television up to 1981, and for Channel 4 after that. 'Cape Cart' is an episode of 'Old Country' for Channel 4, produced by Dave Knowles, directed by Steve Wade and filmed by Steve Wagstaff. I'm still not sure when. The Cape cart, invented by the Boers, was the best of all cross-country carts. Its reconstruction in Dorset was the realisation, with the help of Jeff Mitchell who farmed on the edge of Sturminster Newton, of 'a farm boy's dream'. The film's poor quality but probably unique, thanks to a fan who recorded it on VHS years ago and sent me a CD. Many many thanks. I hope it's enjoyed. In case this interests people here are books by and related to my stepfather: Jack Hargreaves, illustrated by Bernard Venables, 'Fishing for a year' MacGibbon & Kee 1951, republished Medlar Press 1998 Jack Hargreaves, 'Out of Town: A Life Relived on Television', Dovecote Press 1987 Jack Hargreaves, 'The Old Country', Dovecote Press 1988 Jack Hargreaves with Terry Heathcote, 'The New Forest: A Portrait in Colour', Dovecote Press 1992 Paul Peacock, 'Jack Hargreaves - A Portrait', Farming Books & Videos 2006
