Lyrics in English: Hypocrisy and hypocrisy and hypocrisy What is right and what is important Clicking and clicking and clicking On pages filt with pictures Like looking backwards through the glass of a pair of binoculars Nobody is looking at the man who is floating Down the river in the city center, in daylight Under the sound of traffic, under the snow and all the ice Nice and kind imbesiles are too busy with themselves No one takes the initiative and soon he's freezing to death Can anyone turn on the light Can anyone turn up the sound There is no excuse Break loose from the apathy Where is the solidarity? Stop ignoring Eyes are to see with Eyes are to see with Where is the solidarity? Stop ignoring Eyes are to see with Eyes are to see with Hipocrisy and hypocrisy and hypocrisy Isn't it sad to be broken in pieces Reading articles about bad conflicts Sharing a post that 23 of your friends likes A keystroke so your quota is filled for the rest of the week Like aknowledging a problem is something to be celebrated The moral policy leaves the uniform by the keyboard The principles are fading, the values are shrinking Can anyone turn on the light Can anyone turn up the sound There is no excuse Break loose from the apathy Where is the solidarity? Stop ignoring Eyes are to see with Eyes are to see with Where is the solidarity? Stop ignoring Eyes are to see with Eyes are to see with Description: The song is about How people in modern urban society is somehow sheltered from real tragedy, and are therefore often unable to take care of one and another. The vocalist in Me and the Julios experienced seeing a man almost drown in a city-river in Oslo in the middle of the day one winter, and no one wanted to help him as he dragged the man out of the water and took him to the nearest hospital. Are Norwegians too akward to help a stranger in danger? Are the medias distancing us from reality in a way that makes us not able to see real issues, real people and real suffering? The song and video is reflecting upon modern morality, with apetor/"the man in the river" as a played caracter from a real life event, But also a symbol for the human on the other side of a mirror of apathy.
