KDF Officers, 3 Civilians Arrested Over Alleged Plot to Rob Major General

Six suspects, including three Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officers and three civilians, have been arrested in Kitengela over an alleged plot to rob and assassinate Major General George Okumu. Police intercepted the group before they could carry out the plan and recovered two vehicles, a KDF jungle uniform, military boots, tools, and multiple mobile phones. Investigators say the suspects were reportedly sourcing a firearm for the attack, which has not yet been recovered. The suspects remain in custody at Capitol Hill Police Station as a multi-agency investigation continues. The court has granted 10 days for further inquiries, with the case set for mention on April 7.
