What Kind of Person Leaves this Behind!?!

We set out for a day on the winter hills—a chance to teach my son essential winter mountaineering skills. Crampons, ice axe, decision-making… the lessons you can’t learn indoors. But when we reached the summit, the day took an unexpected turn. The hillside was covered in litter—plastic, packaging, and waste left behind by a group who clearly had no respect for the mountains. This video isn’t just about climbing or winter skills. It’s about responsibility, respect, and the example we leave behind. Because the mountains don’t forgive carelessness—and the next generation is always watching. Apologies about my swearing in this one but what we found was almost unbelievable. We must have collect about three bag loads by the time we got back down (I wish I had filmed more of the litter TBH- it doesn't come across on the footage how much was left!!) If you care about wild places, please share this video and help spread the message. I have seen worse litter sites and abandoned campsites lower down the mountains previously , maybe the fact that this was the summit and the pristine snowy covered landscape was ruined. Doesn't really matter if its three bags worth, three cars worth or even just one wrapper, take it away and leave no trace.
