In our continuing story of Akheem, go behind the scenes with our camera crew as we follow teenager Akheem as he spends his time in juvenile prison, awaiting the day of his release. Akheem found himself in juvenile prison after being arrested on battery and burglary charges. In this video during his time locked up, he talks about what led to his troubles as the prison parole board members also discuss whether or not Akheem is ready to be released. We also see the decisions the parole board must weigh as they determine how truthful Akheem is after learning he got in a fight while working on the lunch crew. Update: not long after his release, Akheem battered a neighbor as she was preparing to turn him in for burglary. After the attack, she called police and identified him as her attacker. She died two days later.
