Amiga Format, Issue 54, Christmas 1993 Demo Name: Cannon Soccer By: Sensible Software Cannon Soccer came on Disk 54b of Amiga Format's Christmas 1993 Issue (#54). Cannon Soccer was a brilliant cross-over between two of Sensible Software's biggest games: Cannon Fodder and Sensible Soccer. Two missions take place on a wintry themed landscape (the first being on a Sensible Soccer football pitch). Enemies are gun toting footballers. The first level is manageable, but the second level is bloody hard, mainly thanks to the annoying helicopter that is impossible to shoot down unless it lands (I think they made a mistake with this personally, you should totally be able to shoot it down with a rocket whilst it's airborne!). In my play through on this video I got lucky and the chopper lands near me at the start. However, I did discover a tactic which seems to work versus the choppers, while I was trying to record this. It seems they are attracted by movement. If you move in small increments it appears to stop the chopper coming...not always though. As with many games from this era, 50% of success is based on luck and the other on skill :D. A great demo though, and still fun to play today!
