CFC vs DP Academy 15/11/25 Cup Knockout A very even start to the game with both teams up for the challenge with it being a cup knockout. CFC keeper Harry made 3 superb saves to keep the scoreline at 0-0. On 25mins, Spencer Collings latched onto a loose ball, beat 2 players and slotted into the bottom corner for 1-0. CFC then switched off and conceded 2 goals within 5 minutes to go into the break 2-1 down. Messages to the boys at half time were clear, to show some more fight and determination and win first and second contacts. The start of the second half was similar to the first with both teams fighting hard and balancing each other out. CFC were then awarded a free kick centrally just outside the area, Ollie Bonsall stepped up with a rasper to the keepers left, level at 2-2. This fired up the CFC boys who then dominated the final 10 minutes. Vinay broke through beating his defender, and found Riley in space who calmly slotted past the DP keeper. DP were then chasing the game which left space, Vinay caught a breakaway from a DP attack, and very slotted a very cool finish past the keeper. Final score 4-2 and onto the next round of the Cup.
