BILE REFLUX, GASTRITIS, GERD. TREATMENT. PART 1 Bile reflux could be present as acid reflux + this specific symptom: sour taste in your mouth, nausea, vomiting a greenish-yellow fluid (bile). Symptoms could get worse when person eats fatty food: pork, almond butter, cream/cheese. Physiologically, bile is not supposed to be in the stomach. When bile moves into the stomach it creates gastritis. Bile has bile salts, and they will irritate lining of the stomach and it is the cause of bile gastritis. This gastritis could spread to the esophagus, creating GERD/acid reflux/laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR)/ Silent reflux/Gastroesophageal reflux disease/heartburn. Also, bile has pH of 7, which is neutral. stomach pH is 2, its acidic. Acidic environment is necessary in the stomach. At pH proteins are get digested and bacterium that may get in with the food get killed. Bile , moving into the stomach will neutralise the acid, as the result protein will be poorly digested or undigested and pathogenic bacteria will populate other parts of digestive tract, creating dysbiosis. Dysbiosis and maldigestion of protein will create many other problems over the time. Nausea could be sign of the poor detoxification process in the liver. Nausea could be severe. Vomit could be green because bile is bright green in colour. Liver is the organ that has many different functions. It breaks down hemoglobin, detoxifies drugs and many different chemicals. Biproducts of those processes are excreted with the bile and should move from small intestine to large intestine and then out of the body. When person has bile reflux those biproducts will move up into the stomach, they may irritate stomach or could be absorbed from there back into the bloodstream. Those biproducts are: bilirubin, phospholipid, cholesterol, heavy metals, as well as exogenous drugs, xenobiotics and environmental toxins. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti...
