Press Release: Coventry’s enigmatic electronic duo Batsch emerge from the shadows with the announcement of their new 8-track album, Very Well LP, set for release on July 11th, exclusively via Bandcamp (vinyl and digital formats only). Known for their stylish blend of dark-disco, angular electronics, and melancholic grooves, Batsch offer their most cohesive and sonically rich statement to date. Very Well LP channels late-night pulses and neon nostalgia across eight tracks that explore despair, resilience, and the strangeness of hope. The album opens with the infectious title track, “Very Well”, a tightly wound, emotionally charged track built on taut rhythms, shimmering synths, and the band’s signature lyrical minimalism. It’s a confident reintroduction, arriving with a distinctly darker and more refined sound than their 2021 cult release, Attend Every Party. The final three tracks—“Big Wave,” “Love of Colour,” and “Slik-Slak”—are reworks of fan favourites from Attend Every Party (“Little Wave,” “Colour of Love,” and “Klik-Klak,” respectively), given a fresh sonic identity that bridges the duo’s past and future. In their own words, Batsch describe Very Well LP as “a record about remembering how to dance while everything changes, or falls apart.” It’s both brooding and buoyant—an album for dark rooms and bright mornings alike.
