Now I will leave links in the description for both of these lights if at the end of the video you want more information or want to go pick yourself up some. Now let’s take a close up look and talk about some of the specs; Dimensions: • Baja Designs: 2.93" x 1.76" x 1.68" • Rigid Industries: 4.93” x 2.25” x 1.81” o Rigid does make a smaller light which is just slightly larger than the Baja, their SR-M model, but it’s only a 2 LED, 10 watt light Lens: Both are solid, well-built lenses • Baja Designs: Baja Designs can replace the lens and optics for a different light patter, they call Uservice • Rigid Industries: Want another light patter, buy another light…. Housing: • Baja Designs: Aluminum, Powder Coated • Rigid Industries: Aluminum, Powder Coated Wire Connections: • Baja Designs: • Rigid Industries: Wire harness: • Baja Designs: • Rigid Industries: Plug and Play Price (individual light): • Baja Designs: $157, pair: $305 • Rigid Industries: $104 pair: $190 LEDs: • Baja Designs: 2, 10w • Rigid Industries: 4, 5w So they both are 20 watts Amps: • Baja Designs: 1.66 • Rigid Industries: 1.45 Lumens: • Baja Designs: 2,450 • Rigid Industries: 1,568 Light Pattern: Flood (Baja Designs list theirs as a work/scene light) • Baja Designs: 60 degree • Rigid Industries: 20 degree Light Temp: • Baja Designs: 5,000k which they claim reduces eye fatigue • Rigid Industries: Unable to find information on their website Show garage door pattern Measure Lux at 25 feet Show lights from front of Jeep Show overhead using drone So in my opinion, both light performed very well outside. But now the million dollar question, what light am I going to get and install on my back of my roof rack. Well, I will say they are both excellent lights and extremely well built and I honestly don’t think either one is a bad choice, but for me personally, I’m going with the Rigid Industries. I’ve been using their lights for a while now and had no problems at all and I’m sure the Baja Designs have just as good durability, but I just don’t think I can justify the extra $115 for a pair just a slight increase in light output. But I’d like to hear from you. Are you currently using either of these lights and how do you like them or if you are getting ready to buy, which one of these did you decide on?
