(For full comparison document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1J...) Part 1. Of a very long comparison. There really was no other way to handle it. “Exploring the ‘low glucose suspend’: A brief history” In this video, I introduce the point behind doing the comparison by talking a little bit about my own experience with pumps that suspend. The two pumps I’m comparing are the t:slim X2 with Basal-IQ and the MiniMed 670G in Manual Mode. Although both pumps are attempting to lessen the occurrences of hypoglycemia by making use of current and/or predictive sensor values, the way they wear their suspends.... it’s just not even the same. I’ll say here and now, I definitely have a favorite, but WAY before I had a favorite, I just knew the one that was never going to work for me at all. I’ll also say not all diabetics do diabetes the way I do, and some will truly struggle less with the way the 670G does its suspends, but for those out there like me who are unable to go without insulin for almost any length of time without seeing a consequence, you should know not all suspends are created equal. I look forward to comments... I think.... but won’t hold my breath for them. However, I’ll invite whomever might be interested in further discussion to come by and see about my Facebook group, the Honest Exchange, where we talk about it all. Even when we don’t know what we’re talking about. / 527623797620537
