‘Violated principles’: Coalition split is the National Party taking ‘responsibility’

Nationals MP Anne Webster says it is the responsibility of the Nationals to resign from the Coalition if principles were violated under a Coalition government. “When principles are violated, that is due process, that is our responsibility, we are legislators, we are sent to Canberra to fight for our electorates,” Ms Webster told Sky News host Chris Kenny. “Ultimately came to the very sad conclusion that if our senators, if their resignations were accepted, then we would also resign with them.”
