Uromi Killings: CDS Vows Justice for Hunters Killed in Edo, 14 Suspects Arrested

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, has strongly condemned the brutal mob killing of 16 hunters in Uromi, Edo State. The victims, who were travelling from Rivers State to Kano for the Eid celebrations, were attacked and lynched by a mob last Thursday over suspicions of criminal activity. General Musa assured the public that justice will be served and confirmed that 14 suspects have already been arrested by the police in connection with the killings. The Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has reached out to the victims’ families and the Hausa community, and also briefed northern governors on the tragic incident.
