♥︎Before anything else, Traveling has always reminded me how generous and welcoming people can be across the world. With everything happening right now in the U.S., especially the fear and harm caused by immigration raids, it feels heavy to share a travel video without acknowledging that reality. America is a country built by immigrants and it’s heartbreaking to see so many communities living in fear. I have felt a mix of sadness, anger and helplessness watching what’s unfolding. I don’t have resources to share at the moment but I hope to in the future. It still felt important to speak up and acknowledge what’s happening rather than stay silent. If you are privileged enough to speak up, share information, attend protest or vote in America, please do. Change starts locally, within our cities and states and participation matters more than ever. This video is about travel but it’s also a reminder of our shared humanity. ❤️ ✦ Our trip to Hanoi, We spent three days in Hanoi Vietnam and honestly, three days didn’t feel like enough. Still, we made the most of it. We packed in as much as we could, including the Thang Long Water Puppet Show, a visit to St. Joseph’s Cathedral and a walk through Train Street in the Old Quarter. A couple of my favorite meals were Bún chả Hà Nội and Bún riêu. We stayed at the Sunline Hotel near Hoan Kiem Lake and couldn’t recommend it enough. The staff was incredibly welcoming, the room was comfortable and the location was perfect, close to so many places we wanted to visit. Plus, the free breakfast was amazing. Since it was our first time in Hanoi, we wanted to experience all the classic tourist attractions and it did not disappoint. ♨ Coffee Shops: The Note Coffee Cafe Giang Giao Mua Cafe Cà Phê Muối Chú Nam
