Construction of Medak Siddipet National Highway Work is Speeding Up | Hyd National Highway Works Minister Harish Rao ordered the officials to speed up the land acquisition related to Medak-Siddipeta National Highway. It was ordered to provide four lane roads, street lights, side drains, railings and footpath facilities at the villages where the National Highway goes. The Minister reviewed the Reach-1 and Reach-2 works related to Medak – Siddipet Highway with the R&B officials at MCR HRD, Hyderabad. The minister said that the construction of Reach-1 National Highway from Pothareddypet in Siddipet district to Rangdhampalli Bridge and Reach-2 National Highway from Medak town to Nizampet in Medak district will be done. It has been mentioned that a 4-lane road of 69.97 kilometers will be laid from Medak to Siddipet at a cost of Rs.882.18 crore, 33.676 kilometers in Medak district and 36.302 kilometers in Siddipet. In Siddipet district, Pothireddypet, Akbarpet, Chittapur, Habsipur, Dharmaram, Timmapur, Irkodu, Boorugupalli villages and in Siddipet town limits. In Medak district, along with the town, Pattur, Akkannapet, Ramayampet, Konapur, Nandigama and Nizampet villages will have four rows of roads. It is mentioned that the outline will change. Minister Harish Rao said that 4 line roads, street lights, railings on both sides to prevent accidents, side drains and footpaths on both sides to prevent rain water from stagnating should be constructed along the villages along the National Highway road. In Siddipet, from Ensanpally Junction to Rangadhampalli Bridge, a two-lane road and a service road on both sides were ordered to be constructed for the convenience of the local people. R&B officials stated that vehicle underpass will be constructed at Ensanpally circle and vehicle overpass at Hyderabad – Karimnagar – Ramagundam road in Siddipet. Officials said that a vehicular underpass is being constructed to cross NH 44 at Ramayampet in Medak and another vehicular underpass is being constructed near Ramayampet on Gajwel Road. It was explained that construction of vehicle over pass will be taken up at Akkannapet. The minister was told that as there is a railway track at Akkannapet in Medak district, a rail under bridge will be constructed there for the passage of vehicles. It was explained that four major junctions and 19 minor junctions in Siddipet, four major junctions and 15 minor junctions in Medak district will be developed with the construction of the road. It was explained to the minister that 2.65 km bypass road will be constructed in Ramayampeta. Officials said that 26.82 hectares of land in Medak, 18.25 hectares in Siddipet and 9.35 hectares of forest land in Medak district have to be acquired for the works. Minister Harish Rao ordered the officials to speed up the work related to land acquisition. He also talked to the forest officials as the forest lands had to be collected. It has been ordered to ensure that water does not stagnate in the places where RUBs and RVOBs are constructed, and drainages should be arranged accordingly. They want to take care not to cause problems to the people of the villages with the highways.
