Story: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is a first-person shooter, horror game developed by GSC Game World. This game is set in an alternate version of the exclusion zone around Chernobyl, where the player continues their role as a lone Stalker, exploring the radioactive zone, hunting for valuable artefacts and discovering their destiny. As players explore this open world wasteland filled with radiation, mutants and deadly anomalies, their in-game choices will affect both the games story, and the future of the world around them. Age Rating: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl has been rated a PEGI 18, meaning it’s suitable for adults only. This game has received a PEGI 18 because it features graphic violence, sometimes against vulnerable and defenceless characters, and the use of strong language. This game contains scenes of graphic violence where enemy characters can be picked up by a swirling vortex anomaly and ripped apart. Violence towards a defenceless character is shown when the player chooses to shoot dead a man who is bound and gagged in a chair. This game also features strong language. There is a scene in which it is implied that a character takes their own life. No images are shown of this happening, but the aftermath is witnessed.The game released on November 20th 2024, for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
