Life & Art aims to provide contemporary art with the respect it deserves. Each episode analyzes a group of works that share a common theme across different media. Come to Life is the song I'm covering, off of Kanye's 2021 Donda. I got the arrangement from Andrew Sun, who carried out the noble work of transcribing that incredibly complex song. Each of the five piano hands were recorded separately, then laid down on top of each other, so if it looks in the video like I'm not doing much with my hands, that's why. It was just one of the rewarding things that comes along with producing this show — I get to throw whatever I want at the wall and see what works. I hope this did.
