Ten-li Street in Luqiao is one of China's best-preserved historical and ancient streets. Stretching from Hexi Street in the north to Shiqu Street in the south, it encompasses seven blocks and extends for over 3 kilometers. Originating in the Southern Song Dynasty and reaching its peak during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it stands as a testament to the historical development of commerce and trade in Luqiao. It is among the best-preserved historical districts in Zhejiang Province, featuring a traditional layout that integrates Jiangnan towns with waterways, showcasing concentrated waterside scenery and historical relics. It is designated as a key historical and cultural preservation area in Zhejiang Province. Ten-li Street is not merely the old city center of Luqiao; it is the very starting point of the city's prosperity.
