Learn Python - Time Module | Working with datetime and time zones

In real world, you will have to work with dates and times in many application. In those cases, we can make use of Python's built-in time module. Time module makes it easy to work with and manage the datetime objects. You use dates and times in appointment booking, birthdate or employee joining date management. In all those, you need to keep track of date and time for a user. Storing date in simple string format makes it very difficult to find the years spent and it makes it very difficult to work with date objects. Time module provides many different functions to manage different timezones and find difference between two dates easily. This video lessons explains some of the built-in functions for working with different timezones. It also explains the concept of epoch time as well as UTC for universal time. It explains time zone differences between different times. Finally, this video explains about sleep function which can come in handy for suspending a thread for specific amount of time. In this lesson, I also show how we can measure the performance of a very simple function using perf_counter function from time module.
