There is a long history of development in the improvement of quality of care and safety in anaesthesia. The Department of Anaesthesia at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in Scotland is no exception, and has worked extensively with the University of Aberdeen in the development of education to support safe professional practice and a positive working environment for the healthcare team.
