This brand-new interactive dark ride replaces the former 4D cinema and delivers spooky thrills, high-tech gameplay, and family-friendly frights as you help recapture escaped spirits inside the haunted Kinley Manor. Experience the UK's first Gameplay Theater attraction with immersive sets, digital projections, and real-time scoring. Ghostly Manor opens on May 17th 2025 as the latest major addition to Paultons Park, set inside the former 4D cinema space. This indoor dark ride introduces guests to the ghost-riddled world of Dr. Benjamin Kinley, a paranormal expert who has left his manor unattended while hunting the elusive Ice Ghost at the North Pole. Visitors are invited to explore Kinley Manor, which houses his vast collection of haunted artifacts and ghost-hunting equipment. But as the story unfolds, it's clear many captured spirits have escaped. Armed with Phantom Phasers, riders must battle through a series of haunted chambers to recapture the ghosts, culminating in a face-off with the manor’s most terrifying presence, Ohjee. Ghostly Manor features Mack Rides technology with rotating vehicles that move through five distinct scenes, blending physical sets, projection mapping, and practical effects. Riders sit in groups of four, using their phasers to target animated ghosts across large-scale digital screens and scenic environments. Scores are tracked throughout and displayed at the end, encouraging replayability and friendly competition. Ghostly Manor replaces Paultons Park’s former 4D cinema, which previously hosted seasonal short films. The new ride is the world's first official Gameplay Theater concept, developed in partnership with Lagotronics Projects, Mack Rides, Themics, and the Leisure Expert Group. Paultons Park itself is a family theme park located in the New Forest National Park, Hampshire. Best known as the home of Peppa Pig World, the park features over 70 attractions across several themed lands, including Tornado Springs and Critter Creek. In 2026, Paultons Park will also debut a new Viking-themed land called Valgard Home of the Viking and continue construction on its first on-site hotel, marking a major evolution into a short-break destination. With its strong mix of IP-based and original attractions, Paultons Park continues to grow as one of the UK’s top family theme parks.
