Covers the opening of the book, the chapter on the ship of fools, medieval folly, gothic "death," renaissance fools, and the emergence of the beginning of ritual exclusion. The chapter on the Great Confinement during Marx's era of Primitive Accumulation, in which agrarian workers and peasants were driven to the cities and towns seeking wage labor. The poor and unemployed were confined to terrorize wage labor into accepting low wages, poor working and living conditions. The recording ends with acknowledgement of the unclassified, heterogenous groupings of people confined without treatment, therapy -- just forced work.
