Welcome to Utzmemmingen! A tribute to a village from where part of my family is from. Utzmemmingen was first mentioned in a document in year 852. Like Pflaumloch, the place first came to the Kingdom of Bavaria as a result of the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss (Final Recess or the Imperial Recess of 1803). Four years later, however, it went to the Kingdom of Württemberg through an exchange of territories. The municipality of Utzmemmingen was formed, to which, in addition to the main town, the farmstead Alte Bürg, the house Ringlesmühle and the Rysmühle (now a deserted area) also belonged. With around 1100 inhabitants, the town of Utzmemmingen is the largest in the municipality. It has been a state-approved health resort since ( the titleis given to places whose air and climate have characteristics that are conducive to recreation, as part of a relaxing holiday with perfect air quality.)
