This was meant to be relaxing trailer sailing at Dover But then the weather did its thing, my plans fell apart, and I accidentally ended up on a road trip trailing a wooden boat through Tasmania’s twistiest mountain pass with white knuckles and questionable brakes. This why I love trailer sailer and dinghy cruising in Tasmania. Next thing I know, I’m launching Sarah Ann at St Helens, halfway across the state, and setting off on what might just be the greatest accidental adventure I’ve ever had. There’s sailing, there’s fishing - including catching, there’s a healthy dose of nautical nonsense—and yes, I do question my life choices several times.
