Lanphier-Blue Canyon Loop, Blue Range Primitive Area, Apache-Sitgreaves NF, Arizona

30 mile loop backpacking trip through the Blue Range Primitive Area in Arizona's Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest which recently experienced a forest fire. The area was quite ecologically diverse and somewhat challenging to navigate due to trail conditions. I happened to pick an extremely cold couple of days (highs in 40s and lows in teens), which according to weather history is not the norm (highs in 50s and lows around freezing). Being well off the beaten path, this area is a great choice for those looking to get away from any crowds. Be aware that I observed copious amounts of bear scat, which seemed aged, but bear activity would be presumed high in seasons other than winter. There are also other trail systems in the area to explore should you want to create your own adventure.
