It had rained a huge amount just before we arrived in Chobe, making for some interesting overlanding conditions, but thanks to the sandy soils to northern Botswana, we were able to safely drive all the way from Kasane to Savute in the south-west of the Chobe National Park. We camped for four nights on stand CV4 in Savute Campsite and couldn't believe how few other people there were. We had the place all to ourselves! And luckily for us, game viewing was exceptional, despite all the water and the tall grass. As you'll see in the video, we had amazing lion and elephant sightings, together with a host of other mammal and bird species.
