It is fast and can be used in applications which require measurements in the mm and sub-mm range. The LAT 52 series is available in 3 different measuring ranges. The product being used in this video is the LAT 52 80 IU-B5. This variant has a measuring range of 30mm to 80mm, with a resolution of 0.01mm. The light spot size is only ø0.5mm in size. Not only can the LAT 52 be operated via the on-board keypad, it can also be operated via IO-Link.
