PAINTING ON 3D OBJECTS – Procreate app – Procreate 5.2 gets 3D painting! It’s been a long month waiting for this update but now we have 3D painting right there in Procreate. In this video I take a look at what features they have actually included for us 3D artists and whether it is actually a usable 3D painting app. The Procreate 5.2 update has a few other features that will be of interest to 2D artists, and I cover those briefly. The big thing to remember here is that if you are making your own 3D models to use in Procreate you will need to make sure that they have UV co-ordinates. If you don’t know what they are, then just dive in and watch the video! In future videos I will show how I get my Nomad Sculpt models out of Nomad into Procreate for painting. We will show a workflow including Blender and ZBrush at a later time.
