Bostitch Trim Air Compressor - Product review & use

When my small air compressor quit operating, I did some research on what would be a good replacement at a reasonable DIY price. What I finally ended up purchasing was the Bostitch CAP1512-OF 1.2 Gallon Oil-Free High-Output Trim Compressor, with a five star Amazon rating. It is available through my Amazon store at www.budmanproductions.com. I wanted something I could use alongside my workbench or in the house to power nail guns, brush spray guns and to blow the dust off my work pieces at the bench. It has a small 1.2 gal tank which holds enough for small burst of air up to 150 lbs. It works great for the intended use. Contrary to what you generally hear about the amount of air pressure a compressor puts out, I suggest you purchase based on your CFM (cubic feet per minute) requirements. I purchased this compressor in September of 2013. The pressure switch just went bad. 03-10-2017 Replacing the switch is a pain where the sun don't shine. The covers are difficult to remove and you even have to remove two of the feet. I could not get the switch to screw off and after much frustration got a grip on it with a pipe wrench. It was really screwed in tight. I think they must have used some sort of adhesive during assembly. With this said, I look forward to this compressor serving me for another three years
