Cities around the world are growing. To meet the demand, we need to find new ways to build sustainably and in a way that is considering the citizens’ needs. Find out how the three Swedish cities of Linköping, Växjö and Skellefteå are working with social sustainability and smart urban planning to create a sustainable tomorrow. Audio description: This video starts with drone footage of urban environments. It then moves to Vallastaden in Linköping, a new area with modern blocks of flats built in many different materials. Interviewed is Sara Malmgren of Smart City Sweden South-East and Martin Ansell-Schultz of Tekniska verken. The video then moves on to the wooden buildings of Välle Broar in Växjö, where Catharina Winberg of Växjö Kommunföretag AB is interviewed. The last part of the video shows the building site of Sara Cultural Centre in Skellefteå, where Therese Kreisel of Skellefteå kommun is interviewed.
