DIY Bridgerton Dress - Plus Size Regency Gown - With Pattern

Hello Everyone, In this video I will be sharing my new Pattern, which is a Mix and Match Regency Dress Pattern for Plus Sizes. This pattern is a collection of pattern pieces which can be mix and matched together to create your ideal dress. Use it to make a dress inspired by your favorite Bridgerton Character, or another Regency favorite! The pattern can be found in my Etsy Shop: KittyJBerry. In this video I will introduce the pattern, talk about the pattern’s sizing and how to select your size, as well as making mock-up and materials, and briefly touch on some construction points. A yellow sunflower dress which features a Bodice with 1 dart, puffed sleeves and a 2 part skirt with the train extension. For materials I used: 4.5 meters of fabric with a width of 105cm, 70 cm of white cotton for interlining the bodice, 50cm cream zipper, matching thread, and 2.5 meters of gold trim. A light green dress which features a Bodice with 2 darts, lined cap sleeves, and a 3 part skirt with the train extension. For materials I used: 7 meters of light green faux silk fabric with a width of 110cm, 70cm light blue cotton for interlining the bodice, 40cm light green zipper, matching thread, 120 cm of floral trim for neckline, and 110cm pink eyelet trim for under bust. A blue floral dress which features a Bodice with 2 darts, Flutter sleeves and Ballgown skirt both are finished with binding. For materials I used: 4 meters of blue floral cotton fabric with a width of 110cm, 70 cm of cotton fabric for interlining the bodice, a 40cm cream zipper, matching thread, 3 meters of 8cm wide silver trim for the bottom edge and 3 meters of 2.5cm wide silver trim for the sleeve edges and under bust. A red dress which features a Bodice with 3 darts, Fitted sleeves and a circle skirt. For Materials I used: 7 meters of red cotton fabric with a width of 145cm, 70cm of dark blue cotton for interlining the bodice, a 40cm red zipper, matching thread, 110cm of gold trim 2.5cm wide for the under bust and a gem hand stitched to the center of the under bust. The four dresses shown have been made to fit my mannequin which has a 47.5 inch full bust, and 42 inch under bust and 44.5 inch over bust. While these dresses are displayed overtop the mannequin you may wish to wear your dress overtop a push-up bra, historical stays, petticoat, stockings or chemise. How you wear and layer your dress is entirely up to you. However, you may wish to test a mock-up of the dress overtop your selected garments to perfect the fit before starting on your dress.
