In this game, I build up a nice positional advantage out of the middlegame — better structure, more active pieces, and long-term pressure. Nothing crazy tactically… just good, solid chess. Then it happens. Out of nowhere, my opponent forgets about my long-range bishop sitting across the board… and hangs their rook to it. One move completely changes the evaluation. After winning the exchange, the position falls apart quickly. My opponent starts giving up even more material trying to create counterplay, but it’s too late. I simplify, push my passed pawn, promote to a second queen, and finish the game with a clean checkmate.
