How to prepare for a New and Fruitful year As everyone is getting ready for the new year with high hopes to see a different and better year in many areas of our lives, what is the best way to prepare for the year? Some of the preparations may require some corporate efforts to yield the desired results, like some family decisions, community, or work related decisions. But one preparation that is personal and requires most importantly a personal resolve is the state of your heart. If there is any where to begin preparing for a better year it’s in your heart. “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”(Proverbs 4.23 NLT). We are told that the most precious treasure to protect is the heart because it is your leverage to negotiate everything else pertaining to your life in the new year. Preparing your heart means to develop a plan or course of action that allows you to control your heart and/or mind to obey God in all that He says and instructs to you!.
